Providing care in the comfort of your own home

Starting with a personal care assessment, we offer a wide range of services including live-in care, companionship, dementia care, palliative care, and more. If you require a service that isn’t listed below, please give us a call as we can advise on whether we can support.
Let our family take care of yours

Companionship

You can trust us to be a true companion to your loved ones. Whether they want to play a boardgame, have a chat over a cup of tea, or just want to reminisce, our friendly carers are here to give a listening ear and a helping hand.

According to Age UK, more than 2 million people in England over the age of 75 live alone, and more than a million older people say they go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member. We want to change this statistic and overcome loneliness, by providing emotional support and guidance, so that the people you care about have someone they can build a relationship with and can trust.

Personal care

Like all of us, the elderly and less-abled want to enjoy some independence. We help them take care of themselves so that they can still lead a fulfilling life. We can assist with day-to-day tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting and continence care, all in the comfort and privacy of their own home.

We understand that each person is unique and the care they receive should flex to their needs and requirements. And with our family feel, you can have complete peace of mind that your loved ones are being cared for with respect and dignity.

Post-hospital care

After a stay in hospital, your loved one may need short-term care to get them back on their feet. It can sometimes take a while for them to regain their confidence. That’s why our carers are on hand to help gradually restore them to independence.

We can be there as much or as little as needed. And we will be respectful and mindful as we understand how vulnerable your loved one may be feeling. Trust us to keep them safe and to help restore their confidence once again.

Practical care

Sometimes our loved ones just need some help around the house. Our home help services allow them to worry about one less thing, whether it be collecting prescriptions, taking out the bins or even feeding the cat, we will ensure that their home remains tidy, clean and safe.

We cover all aspects of home help to enable service users to live comfortably within their own home. A bespoke and flexible package can be created depending on the needs and requirements. Remember, living well has strong links to better health and well-being.

Live-in care

If your loved ones need 24-hour care but prefer not to live in a care home, then don’t worry, we can provide all the support that they need so they can live in the comfort of their own home. Our fully trained cares can live with them, so they feel comfortable, safe and well looked after. Live-in care is simply an alternative to residential homes, but is much more affordable.

We can offer a personalised dedicated carer to keep your loved one safe and happy in familiar surroundings. They can support with day to day personal care, to more complex care needs such Dementia, Parkinson’s, MND and Multiple Sclerosis.

Our live-in care service can offer 24 hours support, or overnight sleep-ins to wake-in nights. We also offer short term live-in care to enable your loved one to re-build their confidence and well-being after a fall, a stroke or a hospital stay.

Palliative Care (end of life care)

When you find out that someone you love is nearing the end of their life, you want to do as much as you can to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. At Barnfield Homecare, we will be there to provide as much support as we can to ensure your loved one can pass away peacefully in their own home.

Every moment at home with family is precious, so our dedicated team will create a unique end-of-life care plan to make sure all needs and wishes are met. Our carers will be sensitive and compassionate towards specific personal, religious, spiritual and cultural beliefs, and we will ensure your family is treated with respect throughout.

Specialist care

Including, but not limited to, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Stroke, Cerebral Palsy and PEG Feeding.

When someone you care about is diagnosed with a condition that requires specialist care, it can come as a shock. But you don’t need to face all of the worry and concerns by yourself. We’re here to help.

Our carers are compassionate and experienced, so you can trust us to provide your loved one with the support they need at whatever stage they are at. We will put together a unique, personalised package for your loved one’s behaviours and needs. And we will do all we can to build their confidence along the way. We respect and value the people we care for and we develop person-to-person relationships with them.

Rest assured that we will provide high-quality care so they feel safe and comfortable in their own home. They will aid their mental and physical wellbeing, rehabilitation and help them enhance their lifestyle through personal home care. And we understand the importance of maintaining good health and well-being of your loved one. Whether it’s encouraging them to eat and drink, or promoting personal care, we will be there to support them at every step. Trust us to take away all of your worries and concerns and give your loved one the care they need to live in the comfort of their own home.
CONVERSATION
We start with a simple chat to find out about your loved one and what support you think they need.
FACE-TO-FACE MEETING
A non-obligation visit is then booked for us to produce a needs assessment.
BESPOKE PACKAGE
After our visit, we will put together a tailored and bespoke package based around your loved ones requirements.
CARING FOR YOUR FAMILY/FRIEND
We will match the most suitable carer for your loved one, based on the type of care needed and their interests.
Polite, friendly and approachable staff
Good standard of care. Polite, friendly and approachable staff. Having these carers visit my mum while I was shielding and therefore unable to visit was invaluable. The care plans are written clearly and allow relatives to read how the care is going.

I would be happy to recommend them
On the whole, Barnfield was efficient. They were particularly helpful when we needed a carer urgently at very short notice. I would be happy to recommend them, and they were far cheaper than some other local providers.
